News from News Center (Text by Wei Linhua from School of Automotive Engineering, Photos by Wei Linhua and Zhu Jingmin from Publicity Department of Party Committee) On April 2, 2019, LVTC received a cooperative service payment from AHQ Institute transferred by AHQ Group, which means that our vocational education standards of the engineering machinery application technology major will be applied in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, it also marks that after years of exploration and accumulation, our international exchange and cooperation work has successfully promoted us from a demander who introduced and internalized advanced international standards and then formed our own characteristics, to the supplier who exports the vocational education standards to the countries along “The Belt and Road”.

AHQ Institute is a university jointly initiated by LVTC, AHQ Group and Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. The school is funded and built by Saudi Arabian partners. LVTC is responsible for the export of vocational education standards and the certification of teachers and students, and LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd is responsible for providing technical support.

Since the start of the project in 2016, on the basis of the experience of exploring the localization of the German teaching standards for automotive mechatronics major for many years, our teaching team of engineering machinery major have discussed with LiuGong’s technicians and continuously optimized the scheme, forming a complete set of vocational education standards for engineering machinery major including professional standards, curriculum standards, construction standards of training bases, certification standards for students and for teachers at different levels, which are exported to AHQ Institute together with the matching PPTs and teaching materials.

To guarantee the schooling quality of AHQ Institute, relying on the construction project of National Resource Bank for engineering machinery major, LVTC has launched the construction of multilingual teaching resource bank to support the implementation of information-based teaching in Saudi Arabia and potential cooperative colleges in the future.

The export of professional standards for engineering machinery major to Saudi Arabia is not only a breakthrough in running cooperative international schools, but also one of the achievements in implementing our development strategy of “taking the lead in the world, upgrading the connotation and simultaneously promoting six practices to build a well-known higher vocational college with distinctive characteristics”.

In 2013, LVTC was listed in the Ministry of Education - Sino-German Automotive Vocational Education Project (SGAVE) and then introduced German automotive mechatronics standards; in 2014, through the cooperation with The Real Apprenticeship Company, LVTC introduced the three-level certification standards of British logistics and its modern apprenticeship system; in 2015, LVTC introduced the German mechanical and mechatronical professional standards and dual system through the joint construction of AHK Guangxi Vocational Training Center with the German Chamber of Commerce. LVTC actively explores the implementation of the localization of advanced international vocational education standards and then combined the reality of enterprises and schools to optimize them. As a result, LVTC forms relevant professional characteristic vocational education standards, continuously improves the quality of personnel training, and finally owns the ability to export its standards to the countries along “The Belt and Road”.

The export of vocational education standards for engineering machinery major to AHQ Institute is also the fruit of cooperation in running international schools between LVTC and Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd.

In 2018, LVTC and Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. jointly built LiuGong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center, and completed the construction of four sub-centers in Benbu, Zhenjiang, Changzhou and Wuxi, as well as eight overseas sub-centers including Thailand, India, Middle East, Poland, Russia, North America, South America and South Africa. Consequently, LVTC has formed a global enterprise training network with the headquarters based in School of Automotive Engineering of LVTC as the core. On the basis of this network, LVTC and LiuGong have jointly explored the running of international schools. AHQ Institute is the first cooperative international school running project promoted by the two sides.

In the future, based on the implementation results of the Saudi Arabian project, LVTC and Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd will form a mature model of international school running and standards exporting and certification, and copy them to Thailand, India, South America and other countries to support the growing employment needs of LiuGong’s overseas production bases and distributors.
